Join us for a lively and funny morning with Sean Dooley, writer, comedian and one of Australia’s best-known bird lovers. Sean has written for shows like Full Frontal, Hamish and Andy and Spicks and Specks, and is the author of books including The Big Twitch. He is also editor of Australian Birdlife magazine and a former national birdwatching champion, holding the record for the most birds seen in a year.
Sean grew up in nearby Seaford, exploring the wetlands where he has now spotted more than 180 bird species. His work is driven by a simple idea: people are more likely to care for nature when they feel connected to it. With humour and insight, he shares his journey from law student to birdwatching comedian and conservation advocate.
Presented in partnership with Frankston City Council’s Environment and Sustainability team, this event is a great way to get inspired ahead of the Aussie Bird Count in October.
