FrankTALK with Julie Fisher – IDPWD Special Event

Join us for a special FrankTALK with Julie Fisher, author, speaker, radio host and passionate advocate for inclusion and acceptance, in recognition of the International Day of People with Disability (IDPWD).

Through her own family’s experiences, Julie shares a powerful and heartfelt perspective on what true inclusion looks like and why it matters in our communities and workplaces.

As a mum of three boys and carer to her youngest son, Darcy, who lives with Down syndrome, Julie’s journey has shaped her into a passionate advocate for people with disability. Over the past 18 years, she has worked to ensure that people with disability are seen, heard, supported and given every opportunity to thrive.

At this FrankTALK, Julie will share her family’s journey, offering insights into the challenges and joys of raising a teenager with disability, navigating adolescence and supporting young people as they grow towards independence.

Drawing on her book, Julie will share the lessons they have learned, the importance of finding the right support and resources, and the value of embracing every stage of the journey.

Tickets are free and bookings essential.
