Save money (and the planet!)

During October, Frankston City Libraries along with the City Circularity and Waste team, are presenting a series of workshops to help you save money, make the most of what you have, and tread more lightly on the planet while you are doing so. Tickets are free and bookings are essential so get in quick and register today!

The Circular Kitchen: Waste Less, Save More

Practical workshops to help you waste less food, save money and get more value from every meal.

The Circular Kitchen Series is a practical workshop series that helps us make the most of the food we buy. Through hands-on activities and simple kitchen skills, we'll explore ways to reduce food waste, save money on groceries, and get more value from everyday ingredients. Complementing Frankston's universal FOGO service, the series focuses on preventing food waste before it occurs by keeping edible food on our plates rather than in our bins. From cooking and food preservation to creative ways to use leftovers, we'll discover simple and practical ways to make food go further at home.

Buy Nothing New Month 2026

Back to Basics Repair Workshop Series

Every October, Buy Nothing New Month challenges us to pause before buying anything new — and instead borrow, swap, repair, or buy second-hand. Our Back to Basics Repair Workshop Series is proud to support this movement, giving our community the skills to mend, maintain and make things last, keeping materials in circulation for as long as possible.
