to 11:30 AM
For kids aged 6+
Get ready to think, build and experiment at this hands‑on STEM session for curious kids! Using Makedo, an easy‑to‑use cardboard construction system provided to us by Mebourne Museum, children will transform upcycled cardboard into imaginative and practical creations while learning through play.
The fun continues as kids design and build their own rollercoasters using ramps and balls, experimenting with hills, turns, twists and loops. Along the way, they’ll explore basic physics concepts like gravity, motion and speed - all while having a great time building, testing and re‑building their designs.
Perfect for school holiday fun, this session encourages creativity, problem‑solving and teamwork in a relaxed and playful environment.
Please book for each child participating - no need to book for the accompanying adult.
Children’s University Swinburne members can collect a stamp at this event.
Frankston City Libraries is proud to be able to provide this event FREE of charge to the community. Help us make this event a success by committing only if you can attend.
