About Stephanie Alexander: Stephanie Alexander's career in food has spanned five decades, during which time she’s authored 18 books, including The Cook's Companion – the bible for Australian cooks originally published in 1996 and now reissued in 2026 for the 30th anniversary edition. In 2004, she launched the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, teaching children about growing, preparing, cooking and sharing delicious, seasonal food. Stephanie has inspired generations of home cooks and fundamentally transformed the way we think about food in this country.
