Getting around by train does not have to be confusing or stressful.

Join Metro’s Community Education team for a free, practical information session that helps you feel confident using Melbourne’s train network. These friendly and experienced educators will talk through the basics of travelling by public transport, from using myki to planning your journey.

You will learn how to read timetables, use apps and online tools, understand service changes and bus replacements, and know what to do if something goes wrong. The session also covers safety, etiquette, public transport rules, and how to identify staff who can help when you need support.

Sessions are tailored to the needs of each group, making this a great opportunity to ask questions and build confidence in a supportive environment.
