Frankston Writers’ Salon meets monthly and writes to a particular theme in short form poetry and microfiction. The aim is for this group to represent the best of Frankston’s literary talent adding to our vibrant arts scene.

Under the guidance of local poet/writer, Andrea Louise Thomas, Frankston Writers’ Salon will strive to present, publish and occasionally perform writing that represents our city, its writers and our lively literary landscape with panache and pride.

Join us to break new ground with our words!

Upcoming session:

May 2025: Write a microfiction piece about a secret you (or your character) can't hold in any longer...

Frankston City Libraries is proud to be able to provide workshops, information sessions and events FREE of charge to the community. Help us make this event a success by committing only if you can attend. If plans change, please cancel promptly to support our authors/facilitators in preparing for your participation. This will support the ongoing delivery of our programs. Thank you!
