Loan Conditions

The following limits apply to the library collection:

  • 40 items including magazines, DVDs, CDs, books, talking books
  • This includes 3 magazines per title at a time

The following limits apply to digital resources:

  • 10 eBooks per platform
  • 10 eTalking books per platform
  • 3 free music downloads from Freegal per week

Members who are overseas residents can borrow up to 2 items at a time. 

Loan Periods

The loan period for all items is three (3) weeks.

  • If an item has not been reserved by another patron, you may renew it up to twice, for a total of nine (9) weeks
  • If an item has been reserved by another patron, it cannot be renewed.
  • Frankston City Libraries will automatically renew your items for you, if there are no reserves on the item, for up to a nine (9) week total borrow period.
  • Read Now titles are for one week only and cannot be reserved but can be renewed twice. These titles can be found at our Frankston, Carrum Downs, and Seaford branches.
