Wildlife Rescue and Rehab - Morning Session

Next date: Tuesday, 23 September 2025 | 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM

Spring School Holidays - Wildlife Rescue & Rehab 10.30am - Eventbrite (1).png

For children aged 7 years +

Please book a ticket for each child participating - no need to book for adults.

Delve into the secret lives of local wildlife species and discover how each is unique and why their misadventures sometime require rescue and rehabilitation.

Wildlife rescuers must take a number of factors into account when executing a rescue. In this session, kids will help plan and perform a mock rescue taking into consideration the wildlife’s physical build, how they move and the equipment required that will suit each species.

You'll also discover that rehabilitation and release of wildlife includes consideration of:

  • Age and stage of development
  • Food they eat and how they acquire it
  • Whether or not they are nocturnal
  • Special requirements for each species

Presented by Living with Wildlife Victoria.
