Comic BOOM!

For children in grades 3 -6
Please book a ticket for all children particpating.
An adult or carer will need to stay with their child throughout this event.

Be the main character of your story! Create a comic book using your real life experiences as story starters. Led by the storytelling experts from100 Story Building, this fun and creative workshop is a great way to get ideas and thoughts onto paper.

Remember a time when you set out to do something ‘good’ but it didn’t turn out as you planned? Students mine their own life for story starters, and turn them into exciting comics through the use of literary embellishments, story pacing and narrative arcs. Students leave with: A comic book of their autobiographical narrative.

Children’s University Swinburne members can collect a stamp at this event.
