Hunting for family-friendly ways to celebrate this holiday season? Then Frankston City Libraries may have just what you're looking for. Our special events and activities are the perfect way to spread some Christmas cheer this December. Here's 5 ways you can get in the festive spirit at Frankston City Libraries:
1. Contribute to the Christmas Giving Tree In collaboration with Frankston Life Community, we're calling for donations of nonperishable food items to be placed under our Giving Tree at Frankston Library. Donations are being collected between now and 22 December. 2. Meet Santa at one of our Storytimes Have a little one aged 0 - 5? Then visit one of our Preschool or Tiny Tots sessions. Santa will be dropping in at the end a few of our Storytimes to say hello to all our little Christmas kids. See more details in the event listings below.
3. Enjoy a Christmas read Whether you are after a classic Christmas mystery or a romantic new-release, our catalogue of Christmas novels has something for everyone! And don't forget to grab a few festive picture books for the kids while you are here. Check out our online catalogue and reserve some books. 4. Rewind with 60's Christmas Join us at Frankston Library for a special Sunday Session with the Zealettes. You'll be entertained with classic Christmas carols and Christmas songs such as Ella Fitzgerald version of Have yourself a merry little Christmas, Darlene Love’s ‘Christmas (Baby please come home) and many, many others. See more details in the event listing below. 5. Spend time with old friends, make some new friends! Our Movie Matinee is the perfect way to connect with your community and enjoy a free screening of a Christmas classic. Enjoy some popcorn, provided by us! See more details in the event listing below.
