Carrum Downs library will be closed for refurbishment from 4pm Sunday 5 March 2023 and will reopen mid April 2023

The closure will allow new shelving to be installed enabling better access to the valued library collections.

Libraries Manager Laura Antoniak is excited to be able to offer a refreshed library facility in Carrum Downs, following the success of the 2022 Frankston library refurbishment.

“In the last library survey, we heard from the community how much they love the Carrum Downs library and value their visits.  We also heard that the community felt the library shelving was looking dated and I’m pleased we are refreshing the Carrum Downs library” Ms Antoniak said.

We’d love people to come in and have a look at the revitalised space when we reopen” Ms Antoniak said.

We realise that this closure will impact many people, and will be looking at alternate ways to continue to engage with the Carrum Downs Library Community, including a storytime at Belvedere Community Centre, and offering to deliver book bags to people at home.

For opening times and availability, please join our eNews and follow Frankston City Libraries on social media.

Services at other library locations including Frankston and Seaford libraries, and the outreach locations at Langwarrin Customer Service Centre, Frankston North Community Centre, Frankston South Community Centre and Karingal PLACE Neighbourhood Centre are unaffected.

Online services continue to be available 24/7 at library.frankston.vic.gov.au
