Volunteering at the Library

Learn more about how to volunteer at the library.

Volunteers are an important part of our Library service delivery and play a vital role in the creation of a viable and sustainable local community.

Some of the volunteer opportunities available include:

  • Tidying the library, e.g. ordering library items on the shelves, returning books etc to the shelves, straightening shelves
  • Home Library Service: collection and delivery of books, CDs, talking books etc for the housebound
  • Preparation for children's story time sessions and school holiday programs, e.g. photocopying, cutting out activities, collating etc

If you have specific qualifications/experience, you might like to offer training classes in a variety of areas, e.g. gardening tips, quilting/knitting, playing music, computers, genealogy, DIY around the home - whatever your interest.

Download the Library Volunteer Application form.

At the current moment the Libraries are at full capacity with Library Volunteers. If you wish to make further enquiries on other volunteering opportunities you can contact the Impact Volunteering located in the Frankston Library.
