Changes Afoot at Frankston City Libraries

Changes are afoot at Frankston City Libraries and library members will notice some fresh improvements in 2017.

The self-service systems will be upgraded and library members will enjoy some more options that are sure to make library visits better.

  • Library members will be able to return their borrowed items themselves, allowing for immediate processing and even getting a receipt if they choose.
  • Newly returned items will be available immediately; with the exception of items reserved by library members.
  • A new child-friendly self-service kiosk.
  • More payment options including Do It Yourself EFTPOS payments.

A review of all membership terms and conditions.

  • Improvements that will help you get that book/film/magazine quicker.
  • Reservations will be limited to 50 items per card to ensure a quicker turnaround.
  • A clear borrowing record (no items or fees owing) provides full access to all of the library’s resources.
  • Library members can book to use public computers and Wi-Fi at any time during opening hours, even if the library member has fees owing.

These changes will be effective as of 1 May 2017.
