Did you know…

  • 1 in 8 Victorian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime
  • 90% of women who are diagnosed with breast cancer survive
  • Most cases of breast cancer are not due to family history
  • For women aged 50 to 74, breast screens are the best way to find breast cancer early, when treatment is most successful. Women over the age of 74 can still have a breast screen

BreastScreen Victoria invites women aged 40+, their friends and family to a FREE information session about breast awareness and the importance of screening. Find out about signs and symptoms of breast cancer, common risk factors and the importance of early detection.

You can also book your free breast screening appointment.

Breast screens take 10 minutes, are with a woman and are free. The mobile screening van will be in Frankston from 5-16 August. Book at breastscreen.org.au or call 13 20 50.

Refreshments provided.

This is a free event but bookings are essential.
