Legendary First Nations storyteller and former Australian Children’s Laureate, Boori Monty Pryor offers a rich account of Australia’s true history, drawing on his gentle instinct to teach and heal.

Boori wrote Story Doctors at the height of Melbourne’s 2020 COVID lockdown. Prior to the pandemic, he had foretold that one day soon, Australia was going to get very sick – afflicted by the unresolved pain of our nation’s shared history, which needs to be understood and acknowledged before healing can begin.

We’re proud to be hosting Boori ahead of NAIDOC Week, and this year’s theme is Heal Country.

Please join us for this very special NAIDOC Week Storytime with Boori Monty Pryor on Saturday 3 July at 11am at Frankston Library. This event is free but bookings are essential as numbers are limited.

Story Doctors can be purchased on the day thanks to Robinsons Bookshop or via their online store: https://bit.ly/3c5qtrR Boori Monty Pryor will be signing copies of Story Doctors.

This event would be perfect for children aged 5-12.
